Free Digital Magazines at Eugene Public Library <br />The Eugene Public Library’s Zinio service offers free, cover-to-cover, current issues of popular magazines for tablets, <br />eReaders, computers, and phones. Best-selling magazines are available on a wide array of topics: food, home, garden, news, <br />money, sports, outdoors, fitness, music, art, celebrities, fashion, and more. Check it out at the <br />Library website. <br /> <br />For a hands-on, how-to, come to one of the Library’s “Free Digital Magazines” classes: Monday, Oct. <br />21, at 5:30 p.m., at the Downtown Library; Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m., at the Bethel Branch; or <br />Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m., at the Sheldon Branch. The classes are free, with no pre-registration <br />needed. <br /> <br />For more information, contact the Eugene Public Library at 541-682-5450 or www.eugene- <br />or.gov/library. <br /> <br />Patrons Seek Information on the Affordable Care Act <br />One of the most popular subjects at Campbell Community Center these days is the <br />Affordable Care Act, popularly known as “Obamacare.” As of Jan. 1, 2014, everyone <br />will be required to carry health insurance and Recreation patrons are eager to know <br />as much as possible about the cost, any exceptions, the effect on existing coverage, <br />requirements for veterans and foreign nationals, and more. <br /> <br />Ongoing presentations are held at Campbell Center on the first Tuesday of every <br />month from 11 a.m. - noon, and the third Tuesday of every month from 3 - 4 p.m. Presenter Thomas Reddy of TR Insurance <br />focuses on compliance and will answer as many questions about the new law as he can. The presentation is free, but pre- <br />registration is required. To pre-register, please call 541-682-5318.
