urban food system.
Council Discussion /Suggestions /Questions:

• Support school districts efforts to grow food on -site at schools for use by students.
• Envision Eugene goals conflict with economic development goals.
• Community gardens are popular, program expansion would help food security efforts.

urban farming?
• Use vacant City -owned land for temporary public gardens.
• As Envision Eugene develops we will closely examine competing goals of compact urban
