Noon A. PUBLIC HEARING AND ACTION:
An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 20384 Concerning
Motor Vehicle Fuel Dealer’s Business Licenses; Declaring an
Emergency; and Providing for an Immediate Effective Date
City Council President:
I move, with unanimous consent of the
council, to hold the public hearing at this time based on the
individual notice provided to the attorney for the gas station owners
and the media notice.

Those wishing to speak during the
Public Hearing must submit a completed “Request to Speak” form to
the information desk, prior to the beginning of the Public Hearing.
When you come to the podium, please give your name, city of
residence, and, for Eugene residents, your ward if known; you will
have three minutes to comment. There are lights on the podium; the
yellow light indicates you have 15 seconds to complete your
comments. The red light indicates the end of three minutes.

concerning motor vehicle fuel dealer’s business licenses.

B. ACTION:
Resolution 4915 Calling a City Election on November 6, 2007,
for the Purpose of Referring to the Legal Electors of the City of
Eugene a Measure Adding a New Subsection (c) to Section 3.467
of the Eugene Code, 1971, to Increase by $0.03 per Gallon the
Motor Vehicle Fuel Dealer’s License Tax
City Council President:
I move toadopt Resolution 4915 calling a
city election on November 6, 2007, for the purpose of referring to the
legal electors of the city of Eugene a measure adding a new
Subsection (c) to Section 3.467 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to
increase by $0.03 per gallon the motor vehicle fuel dealer’s business
license tax.

C. ACTION:
Approval of Motions Relating to Production of a Voters’
Pamphlet for the November 6, 2007, Special Election
City Council President:
I move to direct the City Manager to
publish and distribute a local voters’ pamphlet for the special city
election scheduled for November 6, 2007, on a measure concerning
a motor vehicle fuel dealers’ tax.

funds from the General Fund contingency account that are required
to produce a voters’ pamphlet for the November 2007 special
election, estimated to be approximately $25,000.
