WORK SESSION: Rental Housing Program Update City Council President: I move to eliminate the sunset date from the City Rental Housing Code. Direct the City Manager to initiate changes necessary to remove provision of the Eugene Code, 1971, that repeals the City Rental Housing Code at midnight, December 31, 2008. Roll Call Vote *Time approximate 7:30 p.m. CITY COUNCIL MEETING Council Chamber, City Hall 1.PUBLIC FORUM Mayor: The Public Forum is an opportunity for individuals to speak to the City Council on any city-related issues except for those items which have already been heard by a Hearings Official or are on tonight’s agenda as a public hearing. Each person will have three minutes to speak. When you come to the podium, please give your name, city of residence, and, for Eugene residents, your ward if known. The timer and lights indicate the time you have to speak. A yellow light will come on when you have 15 seconds to complete your comments. The red light indicates the end of three minutes. Mayor closes Public Forum and asks for comments from the City Council. 2. CONSENT CALENDAR A. Adoption of Resolution 4917 Approving a Low-Income Rental Housing Property Tax Exemption for the Property Located at 1025 West 7th, Eugene, Oregon (Assessor’s Property Account Number 0473015). Roll Call Vote 4.ACTION: Resolution 4918 Approving a Multiple-Unit Property Tax Exemption for Residential Property Located at 1360 and 1372 Patterson Street, Eugene, Oregon (Robert V. Newland, Applicant) City Council President: I move to consider this resolution on November 13, 2007, following the council discussion on MUPTE on October 22, 2007. Roll Call Vote 5.ACTION: An Ordinance Concerning Municipal Court Sentencing Authority for Violations of Chapter 4 of the Eugene Code, 1971 City Council President: I move that the City Council adopt Council Bill 4954, an ordinance concerning Municipal Court sentencing authority.
