Parcels with direct arterial frontage on th~ north side of 6th Avenue West between Filmore and Garfield, on the south side of 6th Avenue West bptween Filmo~e and McKinley, and on the north and south sides of 7th Avenue West between FilmQre and McKinley are characterized by a mix of commercial and industrial uses and are aes1gnated "Highway or Street Oriented Commercial" on the f~etropolitan Area General Plan diagram. The Planning Commission held a pub'lie hearing Oh the eligibility of the the specific areas described in this resolution for C-4 District zoning on Navember7, H't84, a.nd fon'iarded a positive rec'ommendation to the City Council for considerat'lon and possible adoption. The City Councrl held a public hearing to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation on November 19, 1984, and at that hearing, the City Counc11 a.greed \~ith the Planning Commission and moved to designate certain specific areas as eligible for C-4 Commercial-Industrial District z.aning consistent with the Metropolitan Area General Plan and intent of the C- 4 District. Now, thel"efore, based upon the a.hove f1 ndii 095, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a r~unicipal c.orporation of the Sta.te of Oregon, as follows: Section 1. Only those development sites \'titl1 direct frontage on arterials and located in the areas described in this resolution meet the intent of the C-4 Commercial-Industrial District set forth in the Eugene Code~ 1911) as well as applicable provisions of the f-1letropoliitan Area General Plan. They are ellJibTie rorC-4 District zoning provided the chang~ in district Resolution - 2 boundaries would be consistent with Zoning Ordinance criteria required for approval. Section 2. The provisions of this resolution amend Resolution No. 3862 insofar as it prescribes the areas along 11th Avenue West eligible for C-4 District zoning. Resolution No. 3862 ~emains in full force and effect with respect to the application of all ot~er com~ercial zoning districts in the 11th Avenue West area as described in that resolution and supporting materials. Section 3. The City Council hereby specifically adopts the findings, supporting text, maps, and Planning Commission minutes contain~d in the Official Report of the P'lanning Commission dated November 7, 1984.
