ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-00-21
of the
City Engineer
of the
Public Works Department
Delegating Authority to Administer the City's Open Waterway Program of
Sections 6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971 and Rules Issued Thereunder
to the Engineering Division Development Review Manager of the Public Works
Department.
The City Engineer of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. By Administrative Order No. dated August _, 2000, authority to
perform the duties and responsibilities of the City Manager to administer the provisions of the City's
Stormwater, Erosion Prevention, and Open Waterway Programs (Sections 6.600 to 6.610, 6.625 to
6.645, and 6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971) were delegated to the City Engineer by the
Executive Director (AIC) of the City's Public Works Department.
B. That order specifically authorized the City Engineer to in turn delegate any of the
duties or responsibilities delegated therein to such person or persons qualified to perform the
delegated duties. I find that it would be more efficient and in the public interest to authorize the
Engineering Division Development Review Manager of the Public Works Department to perform
the delegated duties with respect to the City's Open Waterway Program (Sections 6.650 to 6.670 of
the Eugene Code, 1971).
Now, therefore, based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted,
The City Engineer of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene Orders that:
1. The duties, responsibilities and authority delegated to the City Engineer by the
Executive Director (AIC) of the City's Public Works Department to perform the duties and
responsibilities of the City Manager in administering the provisions of the City's open waterway
program of Sections 6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and any Rules issued thereunder, are
hereby delegated to the Engineering Division .Development Review Manager of the Public Works
Department.
2. Upon finding it would be more efficient and in the public interest to do so, the
Engineering Division Development Review Manager of the Public Works Department is specifically
authorized to in turn delegate any of the duties or responsibilities delegated herein to such person
or persons qualified to perform the delegated duties.
3. The delegation of authority to the Engineering Division Development Review

Manager of the Public Works Department contained herein shall be construed to extend to and
include any person "acting in capacity" (AIC) for the Engineering Division Development Review
Manager.
