An ordinance amending Section 9 of Ordinance No. 8579 passed by the Common
Council December 12, 1938 and approved by the Mayor December 13, 1938 and entitled
"An Ordinance prescribing the qualifications and duties of the
City Recorder and Assistant City Recorddr of the City of Eugene."
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 8579 passed by the Common
Council December 12, 1938 and approved by the Njayor Deeemb er 13, 1938 entitled
"An Ordinance prescribing the qualif ications and duties of the
City Recorder and Assistant City Recorder of the City of Eugene"
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 9: There shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the
Council one or more persons who are suitable and qualified to act as Assistant
Recorder and such office is hereby created; and the compensation of such Assistant
Recorder or Assistant Recorders shall be such sum as the Council may determine.
fSaid Assistant Recorder or Assistant Recorders shall be under the. direction of the
rRecorder and shall act as a Deputy under the Recorder: It shall not be a disqualific
~tion for such Assistant Recorder that he shall be employed by the City in any other
capacity.
