WHEREAS, the City of Eugene passed Ordinance No. 8265 on August 24, 1931 and provided in Section 3 thereof that the Council shall fix and designate by ordin- ance a garbage dumpiizg ground at which all garbage produced or accumulated in the City shall be dep osited, and V~REAS, no such official designation has yet been made therefor THEREFORE TIC CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS F0LLOVIS: Section 1. The Common Council does hereby fix and designate what is known a the City garbage dumping ground on South Alder Street beyond the limits of the City of Eugene as the official garbage dumping ground of the City at which all garbage produced or accumulated in the City shall be deposited. Section 2. ti~dhereas, garbage is being hauled and dumped in various places contrary to the provisions of the general garbage ordinance and in such a manner as to affect the sanitary conditions of the city, It is therefore declared that an emergency exists and it is necessary to the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the City of Eugene that this ordinance take effect upon its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor, and it is so ordered.
