ORDINANCE N0. 8639
An Ordinance vacating the following described area, to--rrit:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2
Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and
thence South along the West Side of Ramey Street to
the Southeast Corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence
East 10 feet, thence North to a point 10 feet East
of the place of beginning and thence West to beginning;
being the Vilest 10 feet of Ramey Street fronting on
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2, Rugh's Second Addition
~to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
V"TEREAS, heretofore and on the 8th day of April, 1940 the Common Council
~f the City of Eugene passed an Ordinance setting a hearing for the I3th day of May,
L94O in the Council Chambers, at which time and place protests and remonstrances
could be heard as to the vacation of the following premises, to-wit:
I;' Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
'~ Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and thence
~I South along the West Side of Ramey Street to the South-
, ~ east corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence East 10 feet, thence
North to a point 1'o feet East of the place of beginning
and thence V47est to beginning; being the West 10 feet of
~ Ramey Street fronting on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2,
Rugh's Second Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
and,

WHEREAS, a hearing was held pursuant to said Ordinance in the Council`Chambe
~n the City Hall in the City of Eugene on Monday, the 13th day of May, 1940 at 7:30
o'clock p.m. and at said time the Council heard all objections, and
ij WHEREAS, all persons owning property abutting upon said premises proposed
,to be vacated have consented to said vacation and have applied for said vacation, it
being the purpose of said vacation to readjust Ramey Street in accordance with the
original plan, now therefor,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and
egal notice of said hearing was published and posted as required by law; that no
slid objection has been made at said hearing, or filed; that the consent of the
wners of the abutting property, properly acknowledged, has been filed in`said
roceeding; and that the public interest will not be prejudiced by the vacation of
aid premises.
Section 2. That said hearing was held on the 13th day of May, 1940 at 7:30
o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
and that all matters necessary to be done have 33een completed.
Section 3. That the following described area, to-wit:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and
thence South along the V~dest Side of- Ramey Street to
~:~~ the Southeast Corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence
East 10 feet, thence North to a point 10 feet East
of the place of beginning and thence West to beginning;
being the 4"Jest 10 Peet of Ramey Street fronting on
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2, Rugh's Second Addition
to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
e and the same is hereby vacated and the area so vacated, shall revert to the
butting property pursuant to the statutes of the State of Oregon.
Section 4. The Recorder be and he is hereby directed to file a certified
py of this Ordinance with the Recorder of Lane County, Oregon, together with a map
plat of said property, and that a certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed
th the County Assessor and another certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed
th the County Surveyor.
