.1U~ <br />IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE <br />Ordinance No. 8663 <br />An ordinance to construct a concrete sewer extending South from Cheshire <br />Street in the alley between Lincoln and Lawrence Streets and serving the hereinafter <br />described property, to-4vit: - <br />Beginning 66 Peet North and 54 feet Test of the Northeast corner <br />of Block 1, Sheltons Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; run <br />thence North 103 feet, thence West 53 feet, thence South 103 feet, <br />thence East 53 feet to the place of beginning in the North side of <br />Clark Street, all in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOW°TS: <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane County, <br />Oregon, does hereby declare its intention to improve the above described property <br />by constructing a sewer and making such other and further improvements in connection <br />therewith as may be necessary and proper to a properly constructed sewer all in <br />accordance with the plans and specif ications to be prepared by the city Engineer <br />as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne <br />by the property abutting upon said improvement, and there shall be included as a <br />part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to <br />exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor. <br />Section 3. That the City Engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare <br />plans and specifications for the said improvement as provided by section one of <br />this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Passed by the Common Council this Approved by the TvIayor this <br />9th day of December, 1940 9th day of December, 1940 <br />/s/ C.
