IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE
Ordinance No. 8663
An ordinance to construct a concrete sewer extending South from Cheshire
Street in the alley between Lincoln and Lawrence Streets and serving the hereinafter
described property, to-4vit: -
Beginning 66 Peet North and 54 feet Test of the Northeast corner
of Block 1, Sheltons Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; run
thence North 103 feet, thence West 53 feet, thence South 103 feet,
thence East 53 feet to the place of beginning in the North side of
Clark Street, all in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOW°TS:
Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane County,
Oregon, does hereby declare its intention to improve the above described property
by constructing a sewer and making such other and further improvements in connection
therewith as may be necessary and proper to a properly constructed sewer all in
accordance with the plans and specif ications to be prepared by the city Engineer
as hereinafter specified.
Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne
by the property abutting upon said improvement, and there shall be included as a
part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to
exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor.
Section 3. That the City Engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare
plans and specifications for the said improvement as provided by section one of
this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder.
