IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE
Ordinance IVo. 8665
An Ordinance to construct a concrete sewer extending South from Cheshire
Street in the alley between Lincoln and Lawrence Streets and serving the hereinafter
,described property,
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO~JS:
~ Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane County,
Oregon, does hereby declare its intention to improve the following described pro
to-wit:
Beginning at a point in the North line of Clark Avenue Vilest 66 feet
North and 160 Peet Vvest of the Northeast corner of Lot .1, Block 1,
Shelton's Addition to the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon;
running thence North 103 feet, thence East 53 feet, thence South 103
feet, thence West 53 feet to the place of beginning, all in Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon,
Iby constructing a sewer as above described and making such other and further ',
!improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper to a ~,
(properly constructed sewer all in accordance vaith the plans and specifications to
+be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified.
' Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be
(borne by the property abutting upon said improvement, and there shall be included
has a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon
not to exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor.
I~I Section 3. That the City Engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare
lplans and specifications for the said improvement as provided by Section one
!of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder.
