ORDINANCE N0. 8691 An Ordinance declaring it unlawful to drink alcoholic liquors upon the streets, alleys, parks or public places within the City of Eugene; fixing a penalty, repealing all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful within the City of Eugene For any person to drink alcoholic liquor, as defined by Section 24-103 O.C. L.A. upon any street, alley, park or public place of the City of Eugene, whether in a vehicle or not. Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordina.ce shall, upon conviction thereof in the Recorder's Court, be fined not to exceed X200.00 and the costs of the prosecution, and may be imprisoned in the city fail one day for each X2.00 of the Pine unpaid. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. Vti~~;RF..AS, the drinking of alcoholic liquors in the streets, alleys and public places oP the Gity of Eugene has become a nuisance, it is so declared by the Common Council and an emergency is declared to exist and it is hereby declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety. of the City of Eugene that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor, and it is so ordered.
