An Ordinance amending Section 5 of Ordinance No. 8265 entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for the disposal of garbage, defining
garbage, providing regulations for the manner of disposal, pr~.ces to be charged,
requiring a license and bond, and generally regulating the collection and removal
of garbage in the City of Eugene, repealing former ordinances and declaring an
emergency."
by changing the residential rate to 65¢ and increasing all commercial rates 20f.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOtir~S:
Section 1. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 8265 entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for the disposal of garbage, defining garbage,
providing regu~tions for the manner of disposal, prices to be charged, requiring
a license and bond, and generally regulating the collection and removal of
garbage in the City of Eugene, repealing former ordinances and declaring an
emergency."
passed by the Common Council Au~;ust 24, 1931 and approved by the Iv~ayor August 24,
1931, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5: The rates to be charged all persons, firms or corporations
shall be reasonable and unif orm, taking into consideration the service rendered,
and shall not be in excess of the following schedule:
Resid ences, ~ .65 per month
As to all commercial service,
20~ in addition to the following
schedule:
Stores, X1.00 to X10.00 per month

Garages 1.50 to x'7.00 " "
Apartment Houses, ~.OO to 10.00 "
