2~9 <br />ORDINANCE 8777 <br />An Ordinance levying an assessment upon the abutting property described <br />in Section 2 of this Ordinance for the construction of a cement sid®walk adja- <br />cent thereto. <br />V~iHEREAS, in the 28th day of August 1939, the City of Eugene, by <br />Ordinance No. 8615, passed by the Common Council of the said City on that day <br />and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 29th day of August, 1939, determined <br />to have a cement sidewalk constructed on the <br />south side of West Broadway and the east side of Polk Street <br />ti11HEREAS, the owner of said property had filed a waiver of all notices <br />concerning said sidewalk and has authorized the City to construct the same <br />and to assess the cost thereof upon said property and <br />WHEREAS, the said sidewalk has been construct at a cost of X115.68 <br />Section 1. That the cost of the construction of the said sidewalk on <br />the north 100 feet of lot lr;~ in block 2 of Lill's Addition <br />of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. <br />in front of the property abutting thereon and described in section 2 <br />of this ordinance in the sum of 115.68. <br />Section2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby determines <br />to assess and does assess the said sum of X115.68 upon the following <br />described property in the said City, to-fit: <br />the north 100 feet of lot 1, block 2, of Lill's Addition <br />to Eugene, Lane Gounty, Oregon. <br />Section 3. That tre Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby declares <br />said assessment to be a Lein apon the.said property and order and <br />directs the City Recorder to enter iri the docket of city liens a <br />statement thereof containing: <br />First; A description of each lot, part of lot, or acreage property <br />liable for such improvement: <br />Second:'The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof or that the <br />name of the owner is unknown: <br />Third: The sum assessed upon the said property, and the day of <br />entering the same in said docket of city liens. <br />Approved by the Common Council, <br />this 22ndday of November 1943 <br />/s/ John Fields <br />Recorder Pro Tem <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />26th day of November 1943 <br />~s/ Elisha Lame <br />Mayor <br />
