HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 87772~9 ORDINANCE 8777 An Ordinance levying an assessment upon the abutting property described in Section 2 of this Ordinance for the construction of a cement sid®walk adja- cent thereto. V~iHEREAS, in the 28th day of August 1939, the City of Eugene, by Ordinance No. 8615, passed by the Common Council of the said City on that day and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 29th day of August, 1939, determined to have a cement sidewalk constructed on the south side of West Broadway and the east side of Polk Street ti11HEREAS, the owner of said property had filed a waiver of all notices concerning said sidewalk and has authorized the City to construct the same and to assess the cost thereof upon said property and WHEREAS, the said sidewalk has been construct at a cost of X115.68 Section 1. That the cost of the construction of the said sidewalk on the north 100 feet of lot lr;~ in block 2 of Lill's Addition of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. in front of the property abutting thereon and described in section 2 of this ordinance in the sum of 115.68. Section2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby determines to assess and does assess the said sum of X115.68 upon the following described property in the said City, to-fit: the north 100 feet of lot 1, block 2, of Lill's Addition to Eugene, Lane Gounty, Oregon. Section 3. That tre Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby declares said assessment to be a Lein apon the.said property and order and directs the City Recorder to enter iri the docket of city liens a statement thereof containing: First; A description of each lot, part of lot, or acreage property liable for such improvement: Second:'The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof or that the name of the owner is unknown: Third: The sum assessed upon the said property, and the day of entering the same in said docket of city liens.
