ORDINANCE N~:BER 8~' ;'
An Ordinance vacating the following described area, to-wit:
The alley from Mi11 Street to the center of Block 1.~, Driverton
Addition to Eu:~ene.
Wf~REAS, heretofore and on the 13th day of August, 1945, the Common Council
of the City of Eugene passed an Ordinance setting a hearing for~the 8th day of October,
1915, in the Cozzncil Chambers, at which time and place protests and remonstrances
could be heard as to the vacation of the following promises, to-wits

and,
VNHEF.EAS, a hearing was held pursuant to said Ordinance in tha Council Chambers
in the City Hall in the City of Eugene on Monday, the 8th day of October, 191.5, at
7:30 o'clock P.M. and at said time the Council heard all objections, and
WHEREAS, all persons owning property abutting upon said alley proposed to be
vacated have consented to said vacation and have applied for said vacation
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSs
Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and le gal
notice of said hearing was published arid posted as required by law; that no valid
objection has been made at said hearing, or filed; that the consent of the owners
of the abutting property, and consent of City Planning Commission, properly acknowledged,
has been filed in said proceeding; and that the public interest will not be prejudiced
by the vacation of said portion of alley.
Section 2. That said hearing was held on the 8th day of October, 1915, at
7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Euger_e, Lane bounty,
Oregon; and that all matters necessary to be done have been completed.
Section 3. That the fo3:laWing described area to-wits

be and the same is hereby vacated and the area so vacated, being an alley shall revsrt
to the abutting property pursuant to the statutes of the State of Oregon, reserving,
however, to the City of Eugene the perpetual right to maintain any public utilities or
structures now in the street and to lay down at any time that the Counoil deems
necessary or convenient, any public utility in the alley, and reserving the right to
enter upon the alley and maintain the same.
Seotion ~. The Recorder oe and he is hereby directed to file a certified copy
of this Ordinance with the Recorder of Lane County, Oregon, together Ord th a map or plat

of said property, and that a certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the
County Assessor and another certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the
County Surveyor.
Passes by the Common Council this Approved by the Mayor this 9th day
