HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 8878 399 ORDINANCE N0. 8878 An Ordinance amending Ordinance No 8J~13 of.the City of Eugene, entitled; "An Ordinance to create or divide the City into Districts within some of which it shall be ]a wful, and within others of which it shall be unlawful to erect, construct, alter or maintain certain buildings, or to carry on certain trades or callings, or within which the height and bulk of future buildings shall be limited, and providing for setback lines, and providing for a penalty for the violation thereof.". passed by the Common Council April 8, 1935, and approved by tre AQayor April 9, 1935• 1~dHEREAS, under the direction of the Common Council of the City of Eugen© the City Planning Commission has prepared a tentative report and held hearings thereon and have adopted the tentative report as their final and permanent report and transmitted the same to the City Council with recommend- ation that the same be enacted into an ordinance, NOW, Therefore, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That- Ordinance No 8l~13 entitled; "An Ordinance to create or divide the City into Districts within some of which it shall be lawful, and within others of which it shall be unlawful to erect, construct, alter or maintain certain buildings, or to carry on certain trades or callings, or within which the height and bulk of future buildings shall be limited, and providing for setback lines, and. providing for a penaltyfbr the violation thereof." passed by the Common Council April $, 1935, and approved by the lu'ayor April 9, 1935, be and the same is hereby amended in the following particulars: That the classification of: Beginning at a point on the East line of Y,Iashington Street 160 feet South of the South line of 5th Street thence in an Easterly direction parallel to 5th Street.to~the present light indust- rial district between Charnelton and Lincoln Street; thence North to the present light industrial district; thence West along the South boundary of the present light industrial dist- rict to the West line of said light industrial district; thence YVest to Washington Street; thence South to the place of beginning be and the same is hereby changed to a light industrial district. That the classification of; That area between the south line of 7th and the North line of / 8th from Chambers to the New City Limits be and the same is hereby charged to a light industrial district. That the classification of; That property located on the Atortheast corner of 17th and Willamette 103 feet on Willamette and 160 .feet on 17th / be and the same is hereby changed to a business district. 4(~0 That the classification of: Lots 2 and 11 in dock 1.~, purkerson & Quimbys Addition to _ Eugene, as platted and recorded in Volume 2, page 71, Lane County Oregon Plat Records, in Lane County, Oregon be and the same is hereby changed to a R-3 multiple family residential dist- rict. Section 2. That the City Engineer be and he is hereby directed to cause the map attached to Ordinance No 81;13 to show the foregoing changes; in classification of areas and to note thereon the rule with respect to buildings in single family residence zones.
