HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 8888X48 ORllINANCE NO 8888. / J An Ordinance vacating the f ollawing described area, to-wit: The West 5.5 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, I.~, 5, and 6 and th.e East 5.5 feet of Lots 7, 8, g, 10, 11, aazd 12 all in ~31ock 30, .Gross Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon WHEREAS, heretofore and on the 1l~th day of January, 1gl~6, the Common Council of the City of Eugene passed and Ordinance setting a hearing for March 11, lgt~~, in the Council Chambers at which time and place protests and remonstrance"s could be heard as to the vacation of the following premises to-wit; The ~dest 5.5 feet of Lots 1, 2, 3, !}, 5 and 6 and the East 5.5 feet of Lots 7, 8, g, 10, 11 and 12 all in Block 30, Gross Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. and ' WHEREAS, a hearing was held pursuant to said Ordinance in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Eugene on Monday, the 11th day of March, 19Li.6, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. and at said time the Council heard all objections, and WHEREAS, all persons awning property abutting upon said street have consented to said vacation and have applied for said vacation. Tvow, Therefore i THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES Cf~DAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Common 'Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and legal notice of the said hearing was published and posted as required by law; that no valid o objection to said vacation has been made at said hearing, or filed; that the consent of the owners of the abutting property, properly acknowledged, has been filed in said proceed- ing; and that the public interest will not be prejudiced by the vacation of said street. Section 2. That said hearing was held on March 11, lgi~6, at 7;30 o~clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Ha12 in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and no objections or remonstrances were filed or made. Section 3. That the following described area, to-wit: The West 5.5 feet of 7Lots 1, 2, 3, 1a., 5, and 6 and the East 5.5 feet of Lots 7, 8, g, 10, 11, and 12 all in Block 30, Gross Addition to Eugene, Lane !County, Oregon. he amd the same is hereby vacated, and the area so vacated, being a street, shall revert to the abutting property pursuant to the statutes of the State of Oregor, reserving however, to the City the right to enter, install and maintain any public utilities deemed necessary or convenient. Section 1}. The Recorder be and he is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the Recorder of Lane County, together with a map~or plat of said property, and that a certified copy of the ordinance shall be filed with the County Assessor, and another certified copy of the ordinance shall be filed with the ~'ounty Surveyor.
