of the
City Manager of the City of Eugene, Oregon
DESIGNATING THE EUGENE DOWNTOWN LIBRARY AS A
LOCATION FOR HOLDING COMMUNITY COURT.
The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002, the
City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City and is specifically authorized to
enforce all ordinances of the City.
B. Section 2.772 of the Eugene Code, 1971, provides that the Municipal Judge may
hold court at Eugene City Hall, Eugene Municipal Court (Roberts Building), and the Lane County
Adult Corrections Facility. Section 2.772 also authorizes the City Manager to designate other
locations at which the Municipal Judge may hold court.
C. The City of Eugene recently instituted a Community Court program. Allowing
Community Court to be held at the Eugene Downtown Library would provide participants easy
access to the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, based upon the above findings, I order that the Municipal Judge
may hold Community Court at the Eugene Downtown Library
