'~~ 'I An Ordinance to improve flRonroe Street from lgth Avenue y~est to 22nd Avenue West by combination curb and gutter, asphaltic concrete pavement grading and draining and inte al curb concrete avement adin and' ~ p s 1~' g drainage. ~'~ i ,~ THE CITY _OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : '~ Section 1. That the Common Council of .the City of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare 'i its intention to improve Monroe Street from 19th 2lvenue West to 22nd Avenue West by combination curb and gutter, asphaltic concrete pavement grading and draining and integral curb concrete pavement grading and drainage., and making such other and further improvements in oonnection therewith as may be necessary and proper to a properly ', improved and graded street all in accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper ~ to a properly ~n vet and . ravel ~ d all in accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared b~rt~ie ci y engi~ieer as ~iereinafter specified. - i Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent to said improvement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city, and there shall be included as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor. i Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for ~, the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. ~i .I Section 4.
