HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 8973I ~~~ ORDINANCE N0. 8973 An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the alley betUreen Washington ~,nd Jefferson Streets from Twenty-second Avenue to Twenty- fourth Avenue. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance No 8922, passed by the Common Council on the 9th day of July, 1946, and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 10th day of July, 19.6, determine to construct a sewer in the alley between Washington and Jefferson Streets from Twenty-second Avenue to Twrenty-x^ourth Avenue-in the City of Eugene, and WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance with said ordinance and the Ia~r in such case made and provided, and the costs and amount thereof to be assessed have been ascertained to be, Amount Paid Contractor $1613.20 Engineering 5~ 80.66 Amount to be Assessed 3:~5 WHEREAS, Notice of the proposed assessment to the oumers and reputed ovrners of the here after designated parcels of re~a.l property having been heretofore duly and regularly given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April 197.L~ and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 21st day of April, 1914, and the Common Covsicil having heard any and all protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and having fully considered the same THE CITY OF EU(~NE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOVdS: Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a sewer in the alley betvreen Washington and Jefferson Streets from Twenty-second Avenue to Twenty-fourth Avenue in the City of Eugene, Oregon, is the sum of X1693.86 as aforesaid, which is by this Ordinance assessed ag~.inst the pa.reels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set opposite respectively. Section 2. That the Common Council of the pity of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby determine and assess each Iot, and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, t o-wit ; 1. MARTIN F. That the Cor¢aon Council of the City of Eugene does hereby deter- mine that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is specifically benefitted to the extent of the assessment hereinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to be liens upon the respective lots, ga.rts of lots and parcels of land against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof, containing: First; A doscription of each lot, part of lot or acreage property liable for such improvement. Second: The name of the rnNner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the owner is unlrnown.
