I ORDINANCE NO 9007

An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following desoribed premises,
to-wi t:
That part of the plated alley located between Orchard and
Walnut streets and extending North of the 15th Avenue East,
lying to the North of the South. line of Lots Numbered 11 and
4, in said Block, in the City of Eugene, Oregon,
and calling a hearing and directing that notice be given.
THE CITY OF EU GENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby initiates
vacation proceedings on its oWn authority,vithout petition or consent of the pro-
perty owners, excepting as provided by statute, of the fol1mdng described property,
to-wit:
That part of the platted alley located between Orchard and
Walnut Streets and extending North of the 15th Avenue East, lying to
lying to the North of the South line of Lots numbered 11 and
I - 4, in said Block, in the City of Eugene, Oregon,
I A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate the alley
II Section 2.
I I' as herein provided, and said hearing shall be held on the 14th day of July, 1947,

at the Councif Chambers in the City Hall in Eugene, Oregon, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
II of said day, at which time all persons vdll be heard upon objections or suggest-
II ions vvith ref'erence to the vacation of said portion of alley, and at said time
II the Council will provide for the vacation of' said premises or deny such vacation,

II and in case the vacation is made will make provisions for any damages sustained, by
local assessment.
Seotion 3. The City Recorder be and he is hereby required to immediately

I publish for four consecutive weeks in a n~vspaper published in Eu@6ne, Lane County,

Oregon, the newspaper selected by him being hereby designated as the official news-
I, paper of the City for this purpose, notice of the proposed vacation. Suoh notice

Ii shElll give the description of the area to be vacated as herein set out, and state
II the date when this Ordinance was passed; the name of any petitioners petitioning
I for said vacation; the date when the said petition, together with any objection or
I
remonstrances which may be made in writing and filed with the City Recorder prior

I to the date of said hearing, will be heard and considered.

II Section 4, The City Recorder shall fortmvith and .vithin f'ive days after I

the first publication of said notice, post or cause to be posted at or near each end
