An Ordinance amending Section 2, of Ordinance No. 8612, entitled, "An
Ordinance to prohibit the sale and use of fire crackers, sky rockets, torpedoes,
bombs, cap pistols and other similar explosives or the sale or use of confetti, and
providing a penalty for the violation thereof," passed by the Corunon Council on the
2~.th day of July, 193q, and approved by the Mayor on the 25th day of July, 19391 and
repealing so much of Ordinance No,. 87L}8, passed by the Common Council on June 29, 191x.2, an
and approved by the P.4ayor on Juno 30, 19I}2, as is in eonf'lict herewith.

Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 8612 entitled "An Ordinance to
prohibit the sale and use of fire crackers, sky rockets, torpedoes, bombs, cap pistols
and other similar explosives, or the sale or use of confetti, and providing a penalty
for the violation thereof", passed by the Common Council on the 2l~th day of July, 1839,
and approved by the Ps3ayor on the 25th day of July, 1939, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows ;
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or
corporation within the City of Eugene to sell, offer for sale
give away or in any other manner dispose of, or to use, fire,
explode or discharge in any manner whatever, any fire crackers,
sky rockets, torpedoes, bonbs, caps or any similax implement
or explosive at arty place in the City; or to sell or use confetti :'
in public places,
Section 2. That so much of Ordinance Ido. 871}8 aforesaid, as is in conflict
with Section 1 above, is hereby repealed.
