HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 9046ORDINANCE TdO. 901.6 An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of cement sidewalks on the East and u'Uest sides of Van Buren Street between Tvrelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth e Avenue Vilest, in the City of Eugene, •Z;ane County, Oregon. ti~JI~REAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did, by Ordinance Ido. 9001, passed by the Common Council on the 12th day of May, 191.x.7, and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 13th day of May, 191.i.7, determine to construct cement sidewalks on the East and West sides of Van Buren Street between Ttivelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth Avenue Vlest, in the City of Eugene; and, WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance with said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the costs thereof, and amount to be assessed, have been ascertained to be: Amount paid Contractor, ~ 792.29 Engineering charge, 5~ 39.61 Amount to be assessed ~ 531:9'S I'VHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed a~rners of the hereafter desi gria.ted parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 1911.x., and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 21st day of April, 197.1.x., and the Common Council having heard any and all protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and h~.ving fully considered the same, THE CITY OF FU L ~ DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOV~tS: Section 1. That the total cost of constructing cement sidewalks an the East and West sides of Van Buren Street between Twelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth Avenue Vlest, in the City of Eugene, Oregon, is the sum of X831.90, as aforesaid, which is by this Ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set opposite, respectively. Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby determine and assess oath lot and part of lot, being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, to-wit: 1. CONCEPTION REL: Commencing at the intersection of the North line of Thirteenth Avenue West and the West line of Van Buren Street, running thence North 55 feet, thence West 71 feet, thence South 55 feet, thence East 71 feet to the place of beginning 103.95 2.
