ORDINANCE N0.
An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a cement sidewalk on the West
side of Taylor Street between Third Avenue West and Fourth Avenue West, in the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregan.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the Cita~ of Eugene did by Ordinance No. 9039, passed by
the said Common Council on the 11th day of August, 1947, and approved by the Mayor thereof on
August 12, 1947, determine to ,construct a cement sidewalk on the West side of Taylor Street
between Third Avenue West and Fourth Avenue West, in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon;
and, '
WHEREAS, the improvement above deseri bed and designated has been made in accordance with
said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the costs thereof and amount to
be assessed have ascertained to be,
Amount paid contractor, $p 264.50
5% Engineering charge 1 .2
Amount assessed property ~v 277.73
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners of the herein-
after designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly given and in
~ compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common Council of the City
f of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 1914, and approved by the ~`iayor thereof on the 21st day of
April, 1914, and the Corr~non Council having heard any and all protests, objections and remon-
~ strances thereto and having fully considered the same,

Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a cement sidewalk on the West side of

Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby determine

Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 12, Block 3,
1 Croner's Addition, running thence South Ib feet, thence
East 16 feet, thence North 16 feet, thence West 16 feet

j Section 3. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine that each
j parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is specifically benefitted to the extent of the
4 assessment hereinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assessments to
be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land against which said several
{~ amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to ent er in the docket of City
` Liens, as statement theron containing

First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage property liable for such
improvement .
Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the owner
is unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in the
said docket of city liens.
