I An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a cement sidet,ra,lk on the west
_w side of Harris Street from 23rd Avenue to 25th Avenue in the City of Eugene, Lane
j County, Oregon.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Grdinance No. ~C~7, passed
by the said Common Council on the 25th day of August, 1Q~-'7, a,nd approved by the i~4~:,yor
thereof on the 26th day of August, 197, determine to construct a cement sidewalk on
the ~sest side of Harris Street between 23rd Avenue and 25th Avenue in the City of Eugene,
~ Lane County, Oregon, and,
WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance f~itr~
raid Ordinance and the law in such case made ?nd. provided, and the costa thereof and
amount to be assessed have been ascert~.ined to be,

WHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners of the
hereinafter designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly
given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance 1`'0. 1510, passed by the Common
Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, lal~+, and approved by the Mayor
thereof on the 21st day of April, 191!x, and the Common Council hawing heard any ~:nd all
protest•~-, objections and remonstrances thereto and having fully considered the same.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO`~JS:
Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a cement sid.es:alk on the T~~est side
of Harris Street betwe?n 23rd Avenue and 25th Avenue in the City of Eugene is the sulH~.:of
$1,109.£2 as aforesaid, ~:-hich is by this Grdinance assessed ag-inst the parcels of pro-
perty hereinafter deecr~bed in the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby
determine and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, to-~.~it:

Beginning at a. point in the West line of Harris Street if extended South, said
point being 1~6ffeet South of the Southeast corner of Lot 6 Block 30 Plat of

foot South of the intersection of the South line of 23rd Street and. the West
line of University Avenue if extended South as the said street and Avenue a.re

of the assessment hereinbefore set forth, a.nd. does hereby declare each and all of said
assessments to be 1_iens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land against
~~rhich several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to enter in
the docket of City liens., a statement thereof containing:
First: A description of each lot, Hart of lot or acreage property liable for such
im~orovement.
Second: The name of the o~;rner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the o~r~ner
is unkno~;m.
Third; The sum assessed upon said property a-~d the date of entering the same in the said
