An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a aid.ewalk on the West

side of Chambers beta!een Thirteenth avenue and. Fourteenth Avenue and. on the South side
of Thirteenth Avenue between Chambers and. Grant Streets in the City of Eugene, Lane
County, Oregon.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance No. X051, passed
by the said. Common Council on the 25th day of August, 1Q~+7, and approved by the Mayor
thereof on the 26th day of August, 1a~7, determine to construct a cement sidewalk on
the West side of Chambers between Thirteenth Avenue and. Fourteenth Avenue and on the
South side of Thirteenth Avenue between Chambers and Grant Streets, in the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance
~rrith said. Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the costs thereof
and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be,

'AREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the ourners and reputed ov~mers of
the hereinafter designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and
regularly given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed
by the Common Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, l~l~+, and
approved by the Mayor thereof on the 21st day of April, lql~+, and. the Common Council
having heard any and all protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and having fully
considered the same.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLI~Of~rS:
Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a didewalk on the West side of
Chambers between Thirteenth Avenue and. Fourteenth Avenue and on the South side of
Thirteenth Avenue bet~:reen Chamb era street and Grant Streets in the City of Eugene, is
the sum of $251.x+8, as aforesaid, which is by this Ordinance assessed against the par-
eels of ;oroperty hereinaf ter described in the amounts set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby
determine and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, to-wit:

Lot 1 of Block 17, Chambers Addition, except the West 70 feet, in
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon $2uo.~+5
2. CITY OF EUGENE;
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 17, Chambers
Addition, running thence North 6 feet, thence East 6 feet, thence
South 6 feet, thence Wlest 6 feet to the place of beginning, in

Section j. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine
that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is specifically benefitted to

j to the extent of the assessment hereinbefore set forth, and. does hereby declare each and
~i all of said assessment to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of.
land against which said several am ounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City
Recorder to-enter in he docket of City Liens, a statement thereof containing the follow-

ing:
First: A description of each lot, pert of lot or acreage property liable for such
improvement. _
Second: The name of the owner or reputed oaraer thereof, or that the name of the
' owner is unknown.

Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in
the said docket of City Liens.
