An Ordinance leaving assessment for the construction of a concrete sidewalk on the

South side of Clark Ave. between Lincoln Street and Lawrence Street in the City of
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon .
~THEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by ordinance No, 9068, passed
by the said Common Council on the 1l~th day of October, 1917, and approved by the Mayor
thereof on the 15th day of October, lyt~7, deternrine to construct a cement sidewalk on
the South side of Clark Ave. betvreen Lincoln Street. and Lawrence Street in the City of
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; and
V~iEREAS, tine improvement above described anddesignated has been made in accord-
ance with said Ordinance and the law in such cases made and provided, and the costs
thereof and amount to be assessed have been ascertained to be ~

VtHE~EAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the corners and reputed owners of the
hereinafter designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regular-
ly given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the
Common Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 19111, and approved by
tare savor the roof on the 21st day of April, 19111, and the Common Council having heard
any and a7_l protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and having fully considered
the same .

Section 1, That the total cost of constructing a cement side~~ralk on the South

side of Clark Ave. between Lincoln Street and Lawrence Street in the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon, if the sum of X1111.65, as aforesaid, ~rrhich is by this Ordinance
assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set
opposite, respec+,ively.
Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby
detennine and assess each lot arrd part of hereafter described all being in Eugene, Lane
County, Oregon, to-grit:

Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
Section 3. TYrat the Common Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine

that each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is specifically benefitted to
the extent of the assessment hereinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and
all of said assessments to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels
of land against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the
City Recorder to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof containing the
following:

First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage property liable for such
improvc~nent .
Second: The vane of the ov~rner or reputed oVrner thereof, or that the name of the owner
is unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in the
said docket of City Liens .
