ORDINANCE N0. 9242
An Ordinance levying assessment for the paving of Twentyfourth Avenue from .Hilyard to
Alder Street, in the City •of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
VJHENEAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance No. 9151, passed by
the said Common Council on the 10th day of Tray, 1948, and approved by the ~'iavor thereof on
the .lath day of Tray, 1918, determine to pave Twentyfourth Avenue from Hilyard to Alder Street,
in the City of Lugene, Lane County, Oregon, and
1~{EREAS, the improvements above described and designated have been made in accordance with
said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the costs thereof and amount
~ to be assed have been ascertained to be,

Amount Assessed ~ 547.58
VJIIEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed otimers of the herein-
after designated parcel of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly given and
iln~compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Commoh Council of the
Cit;,~ of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 1914, and the Common L'ouncil having heard any and
all protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and having heard and fully considered the
same,
THE CITY OF s GENE DOFF ORDAIN AS FELLOWS:
Section 1. That the total cost of paving Twentyfourth Avenue from •Hilyard to Alder Street,
in the Cit~r of Eu€;ene, is X5,474.58, as aforesaid, vrhich is by this Ordinance assessed against
the parcel of property hereinafter described in the amount set opposite, respectively.
Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon; does hereby determine
and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, to-wit:

Section 3. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine that
each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is specifically benefitted to the extent
of the assessment he reinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of said assess-
ments to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land against which
said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder to enter in the
city docket of City Liens a statement thereof containing:
First: A description of each lot, part of lot or acreage properly liable, for such improve-
men t,
Second: The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that the name of the owner is
unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said property and the date of entering the same in the said

docket of City Liens.
