An Ordinance reguiating~traffic'and parking upon certain pr,rtions of Pattersnn, fIilyard
and Alder. Streets in the City of Eugene, providing a penalty therefor, and repealing Ordinance
No. 9216 and all ordinances in conflict herewith and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FIOLTlJI~"1S
Section 1. It shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle on either side of Alder Street
between East Thirteenth Avenue and East Pdineteenth Avenue.
Sect~_on 2. It shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle on the 'test Side of Patterson S
between East Broadway and East Eleventh Avenue; on the East side of Hilyard Street between
East Broadway and East Ele=venth Avenue; on the Vest side of Alder Street between East Broad-
way and East Eleventh Avenue .
Section 3. It shall be unlawful to drive or operate any bicycler, motorcycle, auto-
mobile or other vehicler on Patterson Street betvreen East Broadway and East Eleventh Avenue
other than in a Southerl;~ direction; on H;l~rard Street betvreen East Broadway and East Eleventh
Street, other than in a Plortherly direction; on ~11der Street betvreen East Broadway and
East Eleventh Avenue, other than in a Southerly direction.
Sectioh 4. Any person or persons vrho shall violate the provisions of this Ordinance
shall, upon conviction thereof, before the r,iunicipal Colmt fer the City of Eugene, be fined
not more than ~p50.00 or be imprisoned not to exceed tvrentyfive (2~) days.
Secti,.on K. Ordinance number 9216, passed by the Common Council of the City of Eugene
on September 13, 1948, and approved by the I~Sayor on September 14, 1948 a.nd all other ordin-
ances or part-a of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6. WHEREAS, the immediate enactment of this ordinance. is deemed necessary
for the maintenance of the peace, health. and safety of the City and its inhabitants, an
errergenc.y is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage by the Ca~uncil and approval by the Mayor .
