,An Ordinance adopting and establishing charges and equitable rates as provided in Section
6 of Ordinances No. 8610 of the City of Eugene, anaP repealing Ordinances No. 881.1! and 8982
of said City declaring an emergency.
3IiE CITY OF EUGT~IE DOES ORDAIPI AS FDLIAWS:
Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene does hereby establish charges
and equitable rates in lieu of the .rates heretofore established by Ordinances No. 88111 and
8982, after a review of such -rates and charges, with a view to correcting irregularities,
and does hereby adopt for the comput~.tion of sewer charges for the remainder of the calendar
year, 1949, and until new rates are established, the follovring schedule of rates, all pur-
suant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 8610 and other ordinances of the City, of Eugene,
and the sewage disposal charter amendment adopted by the electors of the City on Novem-
ber 8, 1938, as follows, to merit:

Section 2, That Ordinance No. X814 of said City of Eugene, passed by the Common Council

on February 26, 1945, and aXproved by the Mayor on February 27, 191}5, and Ordinance No. 8982,
passed by the Common Council on February 10, 1947, and a proved by the Mayor on February 11,
1947, and all other~~ ordinances of the City of ~%ugene inoonflict herewith be, and the same
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. 'VPHERE~SS, the foregoing Ordinance has for its purpose the general sanitation
of the City of Eugene, asr emergency is hereby declared to exist and it is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the peace, health and saf ety of the City of Eugene that this Ordin-
ande take effect immediately upon its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the
Mayor , and it is s o ordered .
