An Ordinance adopting the survey, plat and. report of the City Engineer as the pro-
posed opening of the alley b~-t~~aeen PRi:!1 and. Ferry f rom Eleventh .Avenue to 133 feet North
of hot 1, Block 2, ShanTs :Addition, in Lhe City of Eugene, Oregon.

Section ].. That the survey, plat and report of the City Engineer u-~~:n the pro-
nosed t~pening of the a11ey between Mill. and Ferry from Eleventh 9venue_ to J_33 feet A3orth
of Lot 1, Block 2, Shams .addition, in Eugene, Oregon, made and fi ed bar him with the
City Recorder on May 17, 19l~9,pursua.nt to the resolution of the Co Amon Council of the
City of Eugene, passed on the 28th day of R~~ardh, 1919, is c'.eemed sat.isf~ctory and is
hereby adopted as so made in the words and figures following, to-wit:

a survey of the proposed opening -and 'nave marked the ?~oundaries thereof.
This report-contains:

Second: A plat showing the proposed ep?ni.n~ together with adjacent property.

opening.

mentioned andc]escribed in said report for the purpose of openi.nl; an alley between Tt~iill
and Ferry from Eleventh Avenue to 133 feet T~?orth of Lot 1, E1ock 2, Sha:v's Additi^n to
the City of Eugase, Oregon.
Section 3. That ~jarlTey L. Hilton , Clarence F. Hyde a.nd Charles L.
Gillilan , three disinterested free-rigld.ers of the City of E~~.gene and each possess-
ing the auai ifications of jurors of the Circuit Court of the County of -Lane, State of
Oregon are appoi~.ted as viewers to view such nronesed street and make an assessment
of the damages and. ?~enefits as provided in Secti.cn ;~ of Chanter 9z of the Charter of
the City of Eugene .
S°ction ~. Tha.t said viewers are directed. to meet on the Clay of ,
1919, at o'clock in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Euggene,
and the City Recorder is directed to dmu.se a notice to property oNmers by publication
for at least ten days successive7.y prior to the said assigr_ed for said viewers to -meet,
in a newspanerpubl.iaaed in the Cit}r of Eugene, or by hosting such notice in three

section 5. That tkie Cit~T Recorder is directed to send by mail postpaid, a, copy
of each notice to each of the. property owne r~ whose property is proposed to be approp-
riated or to the anent of such owner where the postof.`fice address of su~:h owner or
agent i s know to him, and i.f such nostoffice address '~e un'_~norrn to ti,i,n, then such notice
shall be directed to such owner or agent at Eugene,. Oregon, as provided in Section 3
of Chapter 9 of the Charter of the Cit~* Eugene.
Sectionb. That-it is necessary for tae convenience of the citizens of the City
of. Eug~e, that said alley he opered and an emergency is therefor declared to exist,
and it is therefore ddclared to be for the irumediate rr^servation of the peace, he?lth
ar_d safety of the O'ity of Eugene that this Ordinance become effective immediately upon
its passage by the Co~~mon Counci 1 and approval by the pia*or.
