THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES O~.AIF•d ~iS FOL,LOWS:
Sectionl: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or co rporation to display, use
or offer for use any punch board or trade stimulator in the form of a punch board
within the Gity of Eugene, Oregon.
Section 2. Punch 2. Punch boards and Trade Stimulators are hereby defined tr includE,
in addition to the com~aon t}rj~e of punch hoard on which the player wins a prize upon
punching one of the designated lucky numbers, any article or medium c¢antaining a number
of holes or receptacles of uniform si.~e in which are places slips of pawner or other
substance, upon which may be punched or drawn from sand hole or redeptacle by any
persoh upon payment of a fee or consideratio-:, and when the number and gyestion
is drawn to obtain an award of value or~1.y upon the ability of such person, by the
exercise of knowlege or skill, to correctly answer ~ the- question contained on the
slip.
Section 3. Upon c onvict~on of a violation of any provision of this ordinance in
the Municipal Court of the City of Eugene, the defendant shall be fined not to exceed
X200.00 or imprisoned not to exceed thirty days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. WHEREAS, there are trade stimulators Being operated in Eugene at the
present ti:^~e, an emergency is declared to ~' xist, and it is necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, peace and safety of the ca.tizens of Eugene that this
