ORDI NANCE NC. 9428
An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the alley between
Harris and Potter Street from Twentyeighth Avenue t~> Twehtyninth Avenue in the City of Eugene,
Lane County, Oregon.
WHEREAS, the Common Counci:'. of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance A1o. 9285, passed by
said Common Council on the 28th day of March, 19119, and approved by the Mayor thereof on the
29th day of March, 19119, deter~ine to construct a sewer in the alley be tween Hargis and
Potter Street from Twentyeighth Ave nue to Twentyninth Avenue, in the City of Eugene, Lane
County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the improvement above dewcribed and designated has been made in accordance w itYr
the said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and tYie costs thereof and.

WHEREAS, Notice of the proposed assessment to the otimer s andreputed owners of the here-
inafter designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly given
and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common Council
of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 19111, and arbroved by the Mayor thereof
on the 20th day of April, 191!1, and the Common Council having heard any and all protests,
objections and remonstrances thereto and having fully considered the same.
THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORI~'AIN AS FOLLO'NS:
Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a sewer in the alley between Harris
and Potter Street from Twentyeighth Avenue to Twentyninth Avenue, in the City of Eugene,
is the sum of X1,226.89, as aforesaidm which is by t~~~.is ordinance assessed ai^~ainst the pa.r-
eels of property hereinafter descrired in the amounts set o-~nositd, respectively.
Section 2. That the Common Council o_f. the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby determine
and assess each l.~t and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon to-wit:

Section 3. That the Common. Council of the City of Eugene does hereby determine that
each parcel of land or lot hereinbefore described is spr-..•cifically benefitted to the
extent of the assessment hereinbefore set forth, and does hereby declare each and all of
said assessments to be liens upon the respective lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
against which said several amounts are assessed, and orders and directs the City Recorder
to enter in the docket of City Liens, a statement thereof containing the fallowing:
First: A description of each lot, par. t of lot or acreage properly ~.iable for such
improvement.
Second: Tha name of the owner or reputed owner thereof, or that the na:~e of the
otimer is unknown.
Third: The sum assessed upon said proper,.^ty_ and the date of entering ttie same in the
said docket of City Liens. ~
