HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4668 RESOLUTION NO. 4668 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION FOR STATE OF OREGON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT MATCHING FUNDS FOR PARKS. WHEREAS, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the Local Government; and WHEREAS, the City of Eugene Parks Planning Section of Public Works Maintenance Division desires to participate in the grant program to the greatest extent possible as a means of providing needed park and recreation acquisitions, improvements and enhancements; and WHEREAS, Parks Planning staff has identified a boat launch facility and accessible trail improvements in West Alton Baker Park to be a high priority project with available matching funds from the Parks and Open Space Bond Measure to qualify for a State Grant request; and WHEREAS, matching funds would allow the final design to proceed and construction of the boat ramp facility and accessible trail improvements to take place in 2002; and WHEREAS, Parks Planning certifies that the matching share for this application is readily available at this time; IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the City of Eugene Parks Planning Section be authorized to apply for Local Government Grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department park improvements at Alton Baker Park as specified above. The foregoing Resolution adopted this 9th day of April, 2001. ~~.ffL 2:Z/ City Recorder
