RESOLUTION NO. 4683
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE COMPLETION DATE FOR
CHILD CARE INCORPORATED TO SATISFY CONDITIONS
UNDER RESOLUTION 4442.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:
A. On January 23, 1995, Resolution 4442 was adopted authorizing the transfer of two
undeveloped parcels of real property, Tax Lots 700 and 800, Assessor's Map 17-04-25-13 on
Thomason Lane abutting Maurie Jacobs Park, to Child Care Incorporated ("CCI"), subject to the
following conditions:
(a) That CCI apply for and obtain a Conditional Use Permit for its
intended use of the property within four years from the adoption of Resolution 4442;
and
(b) That CCI provide confirmation to the City that at least 80% of the
funding for the relocation project had been secured prior to commencement of
construction of the project and that the funding be confirmed, construction
commenced, and the relocation occur within five years from the adoption of
Resolution 4442.
B. CCI has obtained a Conditional Use Permit and has provided confirmation to the City
that at least 80% of the funding for the relocation project has been secured.
C. A building permit was issued in October, 2000, and it is in the public interest that
the expiration date for commencement of construction, and the relocation, as set forth in Resolution
4442, should be extended to December 31,2003.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a
Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows:
Section 1. Based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, the City Manager is
authorized to execute such documents necessary to transfer, for no monetary consideration, Tax Lots
700 and 800, Assessor's Map 17-04-25-13 on Thomason Lane, Eugene, Oregon, to CCI to be used
to provide child care for families, including low income families.
Section 2. If CCI fails to commence construction and relocate to the Thomason Lane site
by December 31, 2003, title to the two parcels shall revert to the City.

Section 3. The City Recorder is requested to forward a copy of this Resolution to Child Care
Incorporated and to append a copy to Resolution 4442.
The foregoing Resolution adopted the 9th day of July, 2001.
