The mission, objectives and work of Holt International has and is
driven by what is best for children and by upholding the ethics and
devoted practices of Harry and Bertha Holt; and

Today, 50 years later, Holt International continues to find families
for children and is the largest adoption agency in the United States,
having united nearly 40,000 children with adoptive families; and
Whereas,
th
Holt International will mark its 50 anniversary by holding a
conference in Eugene, Oregon on October 18 – 21, 2006 to
develop bold and courageous initiatives on behalf of the world’s
homeless and vulnerable children.
Now, therefore,
I, Kitty Piercy, Mayor of the City of Eugene, do herebyproclaim
the month of October 2006 to be
