RESOLUTION NO. 4891
A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO BALLOT MEASURE 48.
The City Council of the City of Eugene finds as follows:
A. Measure 48 would amend the Constitution to limit the biennial percentage of
increase in state spending to the percentage increase in the state population, plus inflation.
B. The passage of Measure 48 would seriously impact state funding for important
community services such as education, law enforcement and corrections, housing, health care,
senior services, infrastructure, veterans programs and economic development.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a

The City Council goes on record in opposition to Measure 48 and encourages voters to
oppose this Measure.
The foregoing Resolution adopted the 11th day of October, 2006.
