Eugene, Oregon, 1- ' ~~ Deceqlber26, 1930. ~ ~I Minutel3 of the adj ourned meeting of the Common Council, held at the hour of 7:30 l:>'clock P. M., December 26,1930. The meeting was'called to order by MayoJ:" H. E. Wilder, with all councilmen present except Hendershott and Monroe. Anordlnance levy ing the annual tax for the Ci ty of Eugene, . for the fiscal year of 1931 was read the first time, and passed its second and third readings by title by unanim~us consent under suspension of the .rule, and was placed on - its final ~assage. The ayes and nays were called, all present voting aye, nay none, absent Hendershott and Monroe. The Ordinance was declared passed and . numbered 7988.. I, Chairman Lamb of the Street Committee recommended that the Council extend !I the time of A.. C. Mathews for completing his contract and bond for the improve- ment of Indiana Avenue from Agate Street to Columbia Street until Monday, December 29thl. at 5 o',clock P. M., and that if he has not then fully complied with these c~lditi6ns that the contract be awarded to the Eugene Sand and Gravel Company at thEl price bid by A. C. Mathews, and that the Mayor and Recorder be and are hereby imitructed to enter into such contract. The motion was seconded and carried. On motion Council adjourned. R. S.Bryson, City Recorder.
