Council was called to order by Mayor Elisha Large with all Counci~nen present, except Jones. Mr. Joseph Sapp again complained before the Council of the condition of the alley and premi ses adj acent. to the Sawdust Yard oi' the Central Heating Company at First Avenue between Lincoln and Lawrence Streets. Councilman Zumwalt moved that the City Attorney instruct the Central Heating Co. to clear the alley. Motion was seconded and carried. Mr. Chas. Fowler again appeared before the Council and offered to sell his stop street device. After some discussion, Councilman Lrunb moved that the City purchase one strip, to be installed by lira Fowler on the South side of 6th Avenue at Olive Street at a cost of $1.50 per foot. illotion was secol~ed and carried. . . 'M.r. Bond also expressed the opinion of the committee that the Building Inspecto.r'should allow gasoline tank installation up to 3500 gallons. Chai.rman Ed\:vards of the J"lldicia_ry Committee reported continued considera- tion of the Bus Franchise, stal.:;ing that IiI'. Reed is getting up a new schedule of rou'(;es whieh he will ShOl"tly submit to the Council. A general discussion of the Clean-up \:veek was had, and Councilman. Lanib expressed the opinion that the City would not be able to furnish f'ree hauling this year. The hauling privileges under the present garbage law came up for dis- cussion, but no action was taken.
