Council was called to orde~ by Mayo~ E. Large, with all Councilmen pressnt except Simon, Reid and Jones. o....J. -l ;-':'_...a. Minutes of the ~egula~ meeting of December 12th, 1932, and of the 'adjourned meeting of December 27th, 1932, were read and approved. The Superintendent of the University Of Oregon Building and Grounds reQuested that parking on University Street between 13th Avenue and the railroad track be limited to the East side of this street. By motion of Councilman Lamb, the request was granted, and the City Attorney directed to p~pare an ordinance to cover. The Judicia~y Committee, by Chairman Edwards, recommended that the reQuest to erect an Adventists' Tabernacle be granted if a site could be selected which was not objectionable to the people residing in its neighborhood, and further provided that the parties concerned give the City a bond in the amount of $500.00, to guarantee removal of the building at the end of one year. On motion the recommenda t ion was adopted. . Councilman Reid appeared in Council at this time. The Finance Committee, by Chairman Hendershott, reco~nended that no bOlmS should be required from the Assistant Treasurer at the present time. This recommendation, was on motion, adopted. Mr. Hende~shott also moved that the Recorder advertise for bids for auditing the 1932 accounts. Motion seconded and carried. At this time Councilman Simon appeared in Council. Chairman Hendershott of the Finance Committee reported the following bills to the Council with the recoIMlendation that they be allowed, and motion was made and seconded that warrants be drawn for the same. After the adoption of said resolution IIII'. Brent appeared in Council Chambers and indi cated that he would not object to the removal of the buildinf if someone coulc1 be found who would be willing to remove it for the salvage made.
