M., for the purpose of discussing the contemplated change in the route of the Pacific Highway tnrough Eugene, and the completion of the unfinished project of resurfacing the highway on Broadway from Willamette to High Street and Sixth Avenue West from Willamette to Blair Boulevard. Pursuant to the notice of Special Council meeting, the Council was called to order in special session by .Mayor Large, at 5:00 o'clock P. M., Wednesday, Februa~ 6, 1935, with all Councilmen present except Dr. Simon and Dr. Harris. A representative of the Foster Kleiser Advertising Company asked the Council for permission to construct a lighted sign at 13th and Willamette Street. On motion duly seconded and carried permission was granted. At this time Councilman Harris appeared in Council. Discussion was opened by Mayor Large concerning the completion of the resurfacing of the highway through Eugene by the State Highway Department with funds allocated by the Federal Government to the extend of $14,000.00. The following Resolutions were read and adopted: RESOLUTION I "Resolved that the gtate Highway Department proceed withbut further delay with the unfinished project of resurfacing the highway from High Street to Willamette Street, and from Willamette Street to Blair Boulevard, with the $14,000.00 already granted.
