Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Common Council held at the
hour of 10: 00 0' clocl{ A. 1\1. , April 13, 1935. Council was called to orde r b.v
Mayor Large for the purpose of hearing and acting on the report of the
Finance Committee, on bids received for the sale of Refunding Assessment
Bonds A and B, with all Co'uncilmen present except Reid, Simon, and Carlson.
Councilman Hendershott, Chairman of the Finance Committee, moved
that the bid of Camp & Co. Inc. be accepted. Motion was seconded, and the
a.ves and na.vs were called. Council$en voting aye 5, nay none, absent Reid,
Simon and Carlson. The bid referred to being set out in full as follows:

in denominations of $1,000 each, both principal and semi-annual interest payable
at the office of the City Treasurer at Eugene, Oregon; we will pay you at the
rate of ~100~17 for each $100 in bonds and, in addition thereto, accrued interest
to date of delivery of said bonds to us.
We attach hereto our certified check for ~5,750, same to be held by you and
applied as part payment on the bonds if awarded to us; otherwise, to be returned
upon demand.
It is agreed and understood that, before taking up and paying for any of said bon s,
they are to be ap proved by our attorneys, you to furni sh us promptly full and
complete certified copy of transcript of proceedings had in connection with the
above de sc ri bed bonds; and, if 1'0 r an:! reason our at to meys fail to approve same,
the attached check is to be returned to us immediately.

An Ordinance accepting the bid of Camp & Co., Inc., Blyth & Co., Inc.,
Commonwealth Securities Corp., Conrad, Bruce & Co., and Ferris & Hardgrove, for
the purchase of Refunding Assessment Bonds A, in the sum of *154,500.00 and for
the purchase of Refunding Assessment Bonds B, in the sum of ~133,000.OO, and
fixing the rate of interest on said bonds, was read the first time and passed its
second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule, by the unanimous
consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes and nays
were called, Councilmen voting aye 5, nay none, absent Reid, Simon and Carlson.
The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8416.
On motion the Council adjourned to meet on April 22nd, 1935, at 7:30
o'clock P. M.
