Council was called to order by Mayor Large, wi th')all. Councilmen present except Reid and. Simon. Sealed bids for the sale of $190,500.00 Refunding Improvement Bonds F, from Ferrts & Hardgrove, were opened and read, and the Finance Committee retired to consider said bid. They returned later with the recommendation that the bid of I Ferris & Hardgrove be accepted. Motion was made and seconded to accept the Finance Committee's recommendation, and the ayes and nays were called. Councilmen I I voting aye 6, nay none, absent,Reid and Simon. " .-,' I Dear"Sir: , " " For the $190,500:00 City of Eugene Refunding Improvement Bonds, Series,tlPIt, dated August 15th, 1935, and maturing as follows: $19,000.00 August 15, 1937, $19,000.00 August 15th of each succeeding year. to and including August 15,1945, and $19,500.00 August 15, 1946, bearing interest at 3-3/4 % per annum, payable semi-annually on the fi:fteenth day of August and February of each year, both principal and interest payable at the office of the City Treasurer at Eugene, Oregon, and without right of pr-lor redemption. WE WILL PAY $100.37 for each $100.00 par value of bonds plus accrued interest r from date of bonds to date of delivery to us. The approving opinion of , Messrs. Teal, Winfree, McCulloch, Shuler & Kelly I of Portland, Ore~on, as to the legality of these bonds Is to be furnished us upon delivery of the bonds. Elisha Lar~e Mayor ATTEST: Arthur Hendershott RED:JH It I i I An Ordinance accepting the bid of Ferris & Hardgrove for the purchase of I Refunding Improvement Bonds UP", of the City of Eugene, in the sum of $190,500.00 and ~ixing the rate of interest on said bonds, was read the first time and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule, by the I unanimous consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 6, nay 0, absent, Reid and Simon. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8432. On motion the Council adjourned. '. ~ \1 C. M.
