You are hereby notified that a special meeting of the Common Council of
the City of Eugene is hereby calledfor 5:00 o'clock P.M. of January 28, 1936,
at the Council Chambers, in the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon.
This meeting is called for the purpose of considering the passage of an
ordinance for the licensing and control of dogs in the City of Eugene; and for
the consider~tion of licensing some candy vemding machines in the City.

Pursuant to no-tice of special Council meeting, the Council was called to
order in special session by Mayor Large, at 5:00 o'clock P~M., January 28, 1936,
with all Councilmen present except Hendershott and Zumwalt.

An Ordinance adopting the provisions of ~ection 20-2317 Oregon Code, 1930,
as amended by Chapter 309 of the 1933 Oregon taws, insofar as the same applies.
to incorporated cities, was read the first time and passed its second and third
readings by title under suspension of the rule by the unani~ous consent of the
Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes and nays were ca~led,
'Councilmen voting aye 6, nay none, absent Hendershott and Zumwalt. The Ordinance
was declared passed and numbered 8465, and the Recorder was instructed to write
Mr. Wheeler, informing him of this condition.
Councilman Simon then made a motion that the candy vending machines under
consideration be licensed under the Pin and Ball Ordinance No. 8425. The motion
was seconded and carried.
On motion the Council adjourned.
