Julv 30. 1936 I I Pursuant to notice of Special Council M"eeting, the council was called to I order in special session by Mayor Large at 5 ~OO 0' clock, p. ID.,. Thursday, July 30~ 1936, all councilmen present except Simon, Carlson and Harris. Counc i lman Bond reported that, Mr. Art Ri chards has of fered the city of Eugene, $150Q~00 for the following described property,. to-wit: I Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Lincoln Street with the North line of Third Street if extended, running thence East along the North line of Third Street 136 feet more or less to a point 498 feet West of the West line of Olive Street if extended, running thence South to the Oregon and California Railroad Companyls right of way (Sou- thern Pacific Company lessee} thence North 80 de- . grees 10' West along said right of way to the East line of lincoln Street, and, thence North to the place of beginning, I on the following terms, $200.00 down, five years to pay the bj[ance, the monthly paymen~s and interest at the rate of 6% on the unpaid balance. Motion was made and seconded that said offer be accepted. The city attorney was instructed to prepare the papers and the Mayor and Recorder to execute the same. I I WHEREA S , the City of Eugene owns the following described real estate, to-wit: I Beginning at the intersection of the East line or Lincoln Street with the North line of Third Street, if extended, running thence East along the North line of Third Street 136 feet more or less to a point 498 feet West of the ~est line of Olive Street, if extended, running thence South to the Oregon / and California Railroad Company's right of way / (Southern Pacific Company lessee) thence North ( 80 degrees 101 West along said right of way to the East line of Lincoln Street and thence North to I the place of beginning.
