I hereby call a special meeting of the Common Council to meet at the .....

Council Chambers in the City Hall in Eugene, Lane Uounty, Oregon, on Thursday,
August 26, 1937, at five o'clock P. M., for the purpose of considering and passing
an ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described premises,to-wit:
That portion of Van Buren Street in the City of Eugene
bounded on the South by the North line of Clark street;
on the North by the South 1 ine of Chesh ir e Street; on
the East by the West line of Block 11, Riverwood Ad-
dition, gnd on the West by the East line of Block 12, in
Riverwood Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.

Pursuant to notice of special Council meeting, the council was called
:1 to order in special session b~ Mayor Large, at 5:00 o'clock P. M., August 26, 1937
with all councilmen present except Messrs. Lamb and Carlson.
The Recorder presented a communication from S. R. Mosher, Building In-
spector, in which he requested a two weeks leave of absence, without pay, in ad-
dition to his regular two weeks vacation in order to make an extended trip to Neb-
raska and ~isconsin during the month of October. Upon motion made and seconded,
I permission was unanimously granted.
An ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described premises
to-wit:
That portion of Van Buren Street in the City of Eugene
bounded on the South by the North line of Clark Street;
on the North by the ~outh line of Cheshire Street; on
I the East by the ~est line of Block 11, Riverwood Ad-
dition, and on the west by the East line of Block 12,
I in hiverwood Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon,
.- and calling a hearing and directing that notice be given, was read the first time
I and passed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule by
I the unanimous consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The
ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye: Hendershott, Reid, Page, Hanns,
Farrington, Bond; nay, none; absent, Lamb and Carlson. The ordinance was declared
passed and numbered 8521.
There being no further business, the meeting was upon motion made ~nd
duly seconded, adjourned.
