, Large. All Councilmen, present. exc,e.pt Stewart and Wlper.

I: on securing a City Manager' and..made amotion that Mayor Large appoint a comm-
~' ittee to work out details and inte.rview prospectove applicants and report to
'I' the Council. This motion was seconded by Barette. Councilman, Crumbaker
,'i objected to this proceedure and' ~said that while it was necessary to get to
~ll work on this matter he did not think the delay of a meeting or two would make
! any difference and thought that ,a plan of proceedure should be worked out bef-
~, ore any attempt was made to make interviews of prospective applicants and that
i the Judiciary Committee should draw up the plan of proceedure. Mr. Crumbaker
: made a motion that the Davis moti.on'should be referred to the Judiciary Comm-
; ittee to report back to the Council, at the next meeting, their,recommendations
II as to a plan of proceedure. After some discussion this motion was seconded by
I: H~wn and on vote was carried.

II from Willamette to Olive f~r two days for a carnival in connection w~th the
