NOTiCE IS HEBEBY GIVEN on this 7th day of February, 1945
the Mayor of Eugene hereby calls a meeting to be held at
7:30 P.M. in the Mayorts Office of the C~ty of Eugene for
- the following purpose:
To consider the leasing of ground space to the United
States for the use of the Federal Public Housing Admin-
istration.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor McNutt, Councilmen present
were, Koppe, Crumbaker, Hawn, Davis, Bailey, Hurley and Allen. Absent,
Johnson. ~
The matter of the leasing of the ground and the construction of the
housing was explained to the Council by Norman Plummer, representing the
Government for the Federal Public Housing Administration. The following
tract of ground was offered to the Government:
Beginning at a point on the.west line of Huddlestons Donation
Land Claim 37 in Section 36, Township 17, south range.4 west
Willamette Meridian 1381.23 feet north of the. southwest corner
running thence east along the north line of 13th avenue west,
934.3~feet, thenee north 334.c5 feet to the South line of 12th
avenue west, thence west 934.33 feet to the said west l~ne of
Huddlestons Donation Land Calim and thence south 334.25 feet
to the place of beginning, except the west 33 feet more or less
lying in Chambers Street, containing 6.92 acres more or less-
all in the City of Eugene, Lane County, State of Oregon.
After due consideration by the Council a motion was made and seconded
that the Council offer to lease to the Government the above tract of land and
that the Mayor and Recorder be authorized to execute said offer of lease on ~
behalf of the Council. On vote this motion was carried. A motion was made
and seconded that the Mayor and Recorder be authorized to execute the right
of entry by the Government to the tract above referred to. On vote this
motmon was carried.
On motion the Council was adjourned.
